Refining Your Profile: Rhinoplasty London
What is Rhinoplasty?
Rhinoplasty is a bespoke surgical procedure designed to reshape the bone and cartilage of the nose. Mr Solomos tailors the technique to address your specific aesthetic and functional concerns:
- Profile Balancing: Reducing a dorsal hump (bump on the bridge) to create a straighter, smoother profile.
- Tip Refinement: Reshaping a bulbous, boxy, or drooping tip to improve definition and rotation.
- Functional Correction (Septorhinoplasty): If you suffer from breathing difficulties due to a deviated septum, Mr Solomos can straighten the internal structure of the nose to improve airflow while simultaneously addressing aesthetic concerns.
Achieve facial harmony with a bespoke, consultant-led reshaping plan.
The nose is the central feature of the face, acting as the anchor for your profile. Even minor imbalances, a dorsal hump, a drooping tip, or wide nostrils can disrupt the harmony of your features. For many patients, the goal of rhinoplasty is not to change their identity, but to refine their nose so it blends seamlessly with their eyes, chin, and cheeks.
Mr Mark Solomos views Rhinoplasty as one of the most artistic and complex procedures in plastic surgery. His philosophy is defined by natural, conservative outcomes. He avoids the cookie-cutter or ski-slope nose, focusing instead on structural refinement that preserves your ethnic identity and character while restoring balance to your face.

True Consultant-Led Care: The Solomos Difference
In an industry increasingly dominated by high-volume, commercial clinic models, Mr Solomos offers a strictly consultant-led experience.
What does this mean for you?
It means you will never be sold a procedure by a sales coordinator or patient advisor. From your very first consultation to the surgery itself and every post-operative check-up, you are under the direct care of Mr Solomos. This ensures that the surgeon who designs your surgical plan is the same expert who executes it, guaranteeing a continuity of care and safety that high-volume clinics cannot match.
Depending on the complexity of the changes required, Mr Solomos will utilise either an Open technique (a tiny incision across the columella) or a Closed technique (all incisions inside the nostrils). This choice is made based on achieving the most precise, long-lasting result for your unique anatomy.

FAQ: Your Questions Answered
Will the result look natural?
Absolutely. This is the cornerstone of Mr Solomos’s practice. The aim is a nose that fits your face so naturally that strangers would never guess you have had surgery. We preserve the structural integrity of the nose to avoid the pinched or collapsed look associated with over-resection.
What is the recovery like?
Rhinoplasty recovery is generally not painful, but it is visually obvious for the first week.
Week 1: You will wear a small cast (splint) on the bridge of your nose to protect the new shape. You may have some bruising around the eyes.
Day 7: The cast and sutures are removed. This is the “big reveal” moment. While swollen, you will immediately see the new profile.
Weeks 2-4: Most bruising has faded, and you can return to work and social activities.
When will I see the final result?
While you will see a significant improvement immediately after cast removal, rhinoplasty requires patience. 80% of the swelling goes down within the first month, but the final refinement—particularly of the nasal tip—can take 6 to 12 months to fully settle.
Can you fix my breathing problems?
Yes. Ideally, form and function should be addressed together. If you have a deviated septum or enlarged turbinates causing obstruction, Mr Solomos can perform a Septorhinoplasty to straighten the airway and improve your quality of sleep and exercise.
Will I have visible scars?
If a Closed Rhinoplasty is performed, there are no visible external scars. If an Open Rhinoplasty is required for greater precision, a tiny incision is made across the columella (the skin between the nostrils). This heals exceptionally well and typically fades to become virtually imperceptible.
