    Common Fears

Will I have noticeable scars? – The scars are usually the shape of an anchor and face away with time to become pale lines. We can also advise on scar management products to help you achieve the best possible outcome.

Will it affect my ability to breastfeed? – Mark prioritises techniques that allow continued breastfeeding following breast reduction surgery.

Mark takes pride in his surgical skills and his way of closing the wound with latest suture materials that cause minimal tissue reaction and techniques to minimise tension and improve accurate closure and scar results.

    Understanding Breast Reduction Surgery

Breast reduction is a surgical procedure aimed at reducing the size of overly large breasts to achieve a more proportionate and aesthetically pleasing shape. Women with disproportionately large breasts often experience physical discomfort, such as neck, shoulder, and back pain, as well as posture issues. In addition to physical discomfort, they may also suffer from emotional and psychological distress due to self-image concerns and difficulty finding clothing that fits well. Breast reduction surgery addresses these concerns by removing excess breast tissue, reshaping the breasts, and lifting them to create a more balanced and harmonious silhouette.

During the breast reduction procedure, Mark makes incisions to remove excess breast tissue, fat, and skin. The remaining breast tissue is then reshaped and lifted to achieve a firmer and more youthful appearance. Depending on the patient’s specific needs and goals, Mark may use different surgical techniques, such as the anchor, vertical, or periareolar incision methods. Breast reduction surgery not only improves the physical symptoms associated with large breasts but also enhances the patient’s overall quality of life by boosting self-confidence and allowing for a more active lifestyle.
