The best candidate for a browlift is between the ages of 40-60 years, the procedure minimises the visible effects of aging, and gives a brightening effect making the upper face area more alert and refreshed. However, it is also suitable for people of any age who have developed furrows or frown lines due to muscle activity or inherited conditions. Suitable candidates for this cosmetic surgery have dense hair, non skin damaged skin, and symmetry of the face and brows. Bald or patients with a receding hairline, or who have had previous upper-eyelid surgery may still be candidates for browlift, however there may be limitations and or alterations in the procedure. Patients with uncontrolled high blood pressure, blood clotting problems, or a tendency to form excessive scars may have slight differences in facial and brow symmetry, yet these are normally non noticeable. If you are a smoker, you will be asked to stop smoking well in advance of cosmetic surgery.
