Revision Policy – Mark Solomos MD
What happens if something goes wrong, or I’m unhappy with the results?
Complications can occur with any surgery, despite the best efforts of both surgeon and patient to minimise risk. Surgical outcomes vary for many reasons — including individual healing responses, scar formation, lifestyle factors (such as smoking), and changes in weight or pregnancy — all of which can influence results.
It is therefore impossible and inappropriate to offer any form of guarantee. Fortunately, our complication and revision rates remain very low.
In the unlikely event that a complication arises, Mr Mark Solomos will provide his surgical services at no charge to correct this, wherever possible. However, please note that you will remain responsible for any associated hospital and anaesthetist fees, as well as for any investigations, tests, or examinations deemed necessary by the surgeon.
Revision Surgery (Aesthetic Adjustments)
If, after an appropriate healing period, the final outcome is not as expected — by both the patient and the surgeon — and there is surgical scope for improvement, Mr Solomos will again provide his surgical service free of charge within two years of the original surgery date.
As above, the hospital, anaesthetist, and any related third-party costs remain the responsibility of the patient.
This policy does not apply in circumstances where:
- Post-operative instructions have not been followed,
- Scheduled follow-up examinations have been missed, or
- The outcome has been affected by personal injury or other external factors beyond our control.
Breast Implants and Sizing
Patients are given sufficient time and opportunity, including further consultations if required, to discuss and select their preferred implant size, type, and shape prior to surgery. This includes the option to try on implant sizers with Mr Solomos. It is essential that the patient feels fully confident and satisfied with the choice before proceeding.
Once confirmed and documented for surgery, the implant selection is considered final.
While every effort is made to achieve the desired result, no guarantee is given or implied regarding a specific bra cup size or breast appearance. Bra sizing varies significantly between manufacturers, and final appearance can differ depending on individual anatomy and healing.
The responsibility for the final chosen implant size lies with the patient. If, after healing, a patient decides they would prefer a different size, this will be regarded as a new elective procedure and will be charged accordingly.
Bespoke Plastic Surgery and Mr Mark Solomos accept no liability for dissatisfaction relating to implant size selection where the agreed procedure has been performed as consented.
